Beach and Forest finds

Here is a selection of images of interesting things I’ve found on Lyme Regis beach, at various victorian bottle dumps and in rivers around Devon and Dorset. I am fascinated with local history and learning about nature and I enjoy looking for anything old and interesting.

Lyme Regis beach finds

Here are some interesting finds just lying on the beach in Lyme Regis halfway along towards Charmouth/blackven. These have been unearthed from the mud and washed up on the beach from a landslip in 2008. A large part of the landslip contained a Victorian tip and is bringing up new objects daily. I love going to the beach to search for artefacts and have found ammonites, bottles and, metal clasps and all sorts of things.

(If you right-click the images below, you can open them in a new tab or window to see a higher resolution).
